Why Agape’s Injection Mold Tooling Services?

Agape Plastics has provided superior, high-quality injection molded components to OEMs and Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier programs since we opened for business back in 1973. The quality of our work has served OEMs in the automotive industry and other markets, and our tooling services have played a pivotal role in launching and leading successful programs.

Through extensive partnerships with our tooling vendors, we consistently and routinely have seen the creation of high-quality molds that are manufactured on time and with cost-effectiveness as a priority.

Our partnerships with our tool makers feature close collaboration during the production of your mold to ensure timelines and design specifications are closely followed.

Pairing In-House Design Optimization with Mold Building

Agape Plastics’ injection mold tooling services entails a comprehensive and thorough design feasibility review. Any recommended design changes to your part are sent directly to your team for approval.

Material selection plays a major part in our design optimization services as well. Understanding your component’s intended application allows us to properly select the right tool steel to ensure the ability to withstand the quoted production cycles as well as supporting material selection for injection molding.

Mold Maintenance, Repair, and Storage

Our team performs routine mold maintenance and preventative care to maximize mold life and promote healthy, long-term injection molding programs.

With our in-house MRP system utilizing real time cycle counts, we’re able to accurately detail and plan out preventative maintenance schedules determined by the number of cycles your mold runs. For short-run programs where manufacturing operations aren’t as frequent, rather than basing the preventative maintenance schedule of cycle time, we use pre-determined dates to appropriately perform maintenance work.

Utilization of Other Engineering Operations

We know how important tooling and mold build is to an injection molding program. That’s why during the tooling process our entire engineering capabilities are readily available for our customers. This includes key services including value analysis/value engineering, program management, and if applicable, metal to plastic conversion. Our complete program management offers you a dedicated project engineer/program manager to take your part from concept to quoting, to building the injection molding tool, and then to mass production.

Our highly skilled engineers are involved in developing prototypes, designing and building injection molding tools, vendor management, launch activities, implementing secondary operations, and more.

Supported by Quality Management

Whether it’s the custom injection molded components manufactured in our Grand Rapids, Michigan, facility, or one of our tooling vendors creating the molds for our customers, Agape Plastics’ quality management and control procedures reach every facet of production that we’re associated with.

We have been ISO 14001 and IATF 16949:2018 certified for years, proving our QMS policies mesh with environmental responsibility. We also perform rigorous quality checks throughout our manufacturing process, ensuring part validation and minimal variation.

Since 1973, Agape Plastics has provided high-quality custom injection molding operations for numerous OEMs, Tier 1 supplier programs, and other customers in need of ready-to-us injection molded components.

We work in multiple industries, and our customers know that their respective programs are going to create high-quality components and that starts with our injection mold tooling services.
